Convenience and accessibility top the list of RTA’s priorities with vehicles operating 21 hours a day every day of the year. Thirty-one routes serve all ofMontgomery County as well as Wright Patterson Air Force Base and Wright State University in Greene County. Nine bus routes go through the City or Riverside, which include: 1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 19, 23, 32, and 66 A & B (Senior EZ Ride Mon./Wed.). Five Rivers Metro is a multi-jurisdictional independent parks organization funded those main funding source is through voted tax levies. The organization currently maintains 24 facilities and 11,787 acres through out Montgomery County. Under its management are Cox Arboretum, Eastwood MetroPark, Carriage Hill Historical Farm, numerous bike trails and the brand new, MetroParks Mountain Biking Area (MOMBA) to name only a few.

Surrounded by the City of Riverside, Eastwood is a 437-acre park containing a 185-acre main lake, the Mad River and a large lagoon that is crisscross with arched stone bridges. The park offers a variety of boating opportunities from kayaking to Mad to sailing on lake. Year around outdoor activities are offered to all age groups.

Bordering the northeast corner of Riverside is Huffman MetroPark. This is a 283 acre-park offering fishing, bird watching, hiking, and picnicking. It is also the site of the newly constructed MOMBA, MetroParks Mountain Biking Area. This a 111-acre site containing 8.3 acres of biking trails. The trails offer trail for the beginner as well as black diamond trails for the veteran.
